The Keyser Police Civil Service Commission is accepting applications for the Keyser Police Department. Previously certified law enforcement officers are eligible to receive a one-time $2,500 sign-on bonus. Applications may be obtained at the city Police Department on N. Job Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma / GED
No criminal history
No illegal drug history
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and polygraph
Must successfully complete an examination by a physician and psychologist
Must successfully pass a physical fitness assessment, oral board and/or exam administrated by the Civil Service Commission
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be able to become certified through the West Virginia Law Enforcement Academy
Applicants must be able to work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
